Ordering and Shipping Your Slide

HOW IT WORKS

What are the steps for getting my slide work completed?

Place Your Order

Browse our services, select what you need, and complete checkout. You'll receive an order confirmation with your unique order number.

Pack Your Slide

  • Unload your firearm and ensure it's safe.
  • Wrap each part individually in bubble wrap or foam. Use a sturdy box with padding on all sides.
  • Make sure to print out your order confirmation and include it in the box.

Ship To Our Shop

Ship your package to the address below. We recommend USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground with tracking and insurance for your protection.

Receive Your Finished Slide

Once we receive your slide and it is checked in you will receive an email that it has arrived and is in the process of being worked on. When your slide has been completed, we will email you the return shipping information with tracking.

Shipping Guidelines

  • Ship via a carrier that provides tracking (UPS, FedEx, USPS Priority Mail, etc.).
  • Insure your package for the full replacement value of the parts being shipped.
  • Use a rigid box — padded envelopes and poly mailers are not acceptable. We are not responsible for items that arrive damaged.

MANDATORY SHIPPING GUIDELINES

Must Follow When Shipping

Do

  • Include a written note describing the work requested
  • Include your printed order confirmation inside
  • Wrap each part individually in bubble wrap or foam
  • Package parts to prevent metal-on-metal contact
  • Ship only parts required for service

Don't

  • Do NOT ship serialized parts* - we are not an FFL
  • Do NOT ship without order information
  • Do NOT ship complete firearms
  • Do NOT mark packages with firearm related labels
  • Do NOT ship unnecessary accessories

*Salt City Machining is not an FFL and cannot accept serialized parts.

These parts include: frames, receivers, suppressors, or any other NFA regulated item.
